From plot to handover: inside a 5-month family home build
A week-by-week look at how a turnkey Kaisei project moves from design to final walkthrough.
What actually happens between signing and getting your keys? Here's how a typical 4-bedroom family home came together with Kaisei.
Weeks 1–3: Design & BOQ
We refined the architectural drawings, finalised the structural design, and produced a transparent Bill of Quantities. The client approved finishes and the build schedule.
Weeks 4–6: Approvals & setting out
While county approvals were processed, the site was cleared, set out, and the foundation excavated.
Weeks 7–12: Substructure & walling
Foundation, slab, and walling rose quickly. Weekly progress photos kept the client in the loop, even though they lived three counties away.
Weeks 13–17: Roofing & finishes
Roof trusses went up, followed by plumbing and electrical first-fix, plastering, tiling, and painting.
Weeks 18–20: Snagging & handover
A multi-stage quality inspection produced a snag list, every item was closed out, and we handed over a clean, complete home — on budget.
